Nashville postal match.

Time to use our wheel guns for the Nashville handgun postal match.
During this cold sunny day Wyatt used his french made revolver, a Manhurin mr73, 357 magnum caliber and I shot my Colt python, another classic gun.

We started shooting using both hands then we switched to strong hand, and finaly weak hand,it was difficult for us because we both have a weak shoulder or a weak wrist, in fact our conversation quickly looked like the famous scene in "lethal weapon" movie when 2 cops share their old wounds, it was as strange as funny !

About the guns:
The old Colt python is my first handgun, I got it at 21, the legal age in france and enjoyed it everyday, it's big and heavy but well balanced, the recoil is mild and accuracy is great, the gun is more accurate than me in fact.
Trouble is, Colt stopped production years ago and spare parts are difficult to find.
I had to order a new cylinder bolt in USA last year after the original one broke in the middle of a steel plate shooting competition.

The Manhurin MR73 is the only french handgun currently in production, its adjustable trigger pull is well known for its continuous regularity and smoothness and I love the match type adjustable sights.
But this gun is small and lightweight, it's a good thing for everyday carry but shooting is less comfortable than with the big and beautiful python.

It was a great shooting session, postal match add some novelty and fun every time we shoot one.
Tomorrow we'll go back to the range and will shoot some other wheelguns.

I've only managed to submit one target. Hoping to get another done before the end of the month.

Nice revolvers!

Manfred..
Il est agréable de voir que vous avez aimé le match de tir. Je vois que vous vivre en Normandie? Je vais à Leon un peu .. le meilleur pour la nourriture! Comment avez-vous une Python en France? Bon travail!

Hi Doc wesson,

I'm living in normandy 2 hours driving from the landing beaches and I had the opportunity to visit a museum there with a couple of american shooters from California, thanks to Mister Completely, it was a great moment.

In the early 90's Colt had a large offer in France and part of the compagny belonged to the GIAT a french compagny,I was lucky enough to buy a Colt Python wich remains my favourite handgun.

I listened to your show, did not understand everything though due to my poor skill at listening english on a speacker but your gun nation podcast is great for sure !

I will visit your site again and I may call you during a spectacle.

Your french is very good welldone !

See you and hear you soon.
