C what you've been missing !

Do you remember this advertisement in guns magazines ?

Today at the range Amelina and myself have been waiting for our friends but they didn't come.
We shot few but we spoke a lot, so night had fallen before we noticed.
We decided to make a video with my ported glock in 10mm.

Just a pic before we left:
Amelina is holding his 40 caliber Sig Sauer p226 X five, damn this gun rocks !

See you next time

Why are there no sparks and fire on the last shots? Different ammo?

I think I figured it out. I think some frames were getting dropped in playback, and the last two shots looked OK, with sound, but no muzzle flash. On a replay sometimes the flash would be there, and sometimes not. It sure did look strange, though!

Thanks for the comment you left on my blog! I just noticed.

Drop by anytime.

The video works well for me except the poor quality.

Sometimes there's a lot of lag with daily motion it could be the reason.
Next time I'll try "you tube" instead.

You're welcome Fodder, I enjoyed reading your blog.

What does one have to do in order to own a firearm in France?

Are there different rules for sidearms and long guns?

Are many French armed?

For bolt action rifles and shotguns you must be 21 years old and be a member of a shooting club or have a hunting license.
Those rifles have to be chambered in "civilian calibers", no 30/06, 223 or else.

To own handguns, semi-auto rifles or military caliber long guns it's more complicated:

-Must be 21 years old at least
-Must be member of a shooting club for at least 6 months.

Have to ask for a 3 years license for each gun.
Have to wait between 2 months and one year for the licence, depending the place you live and political period.
For instance, during the first gulf war it was very long to obtain a licence.

No more than 7 central percussion guns allowed and 5 rimfires per people.

Full auto weapons are prohibited since 1995.
No CCW in france for civilians and very rare for cops if not on duty.

Guns and their ammos must be stored in a coffer.

Salut Malmort,

God bless america
